Rehabilitation of people with disabilities is significant and the necessary works are taken

On Saturday, June 12, 2021, Pro Hamidullah Farooqi the Acting Minister of MMD with Maliha Jamye the Senator of Meshrano Jirga visited from physiotherapy and orthopedic specialists and discussed on rehabilitation, existing opportunities, achievements and problems of People with Disabilities (PwDs)
First of all, all participants shared their ideas, demands, problems, advice and suggestions about how to physically rehabilitate people PwDs and wanted joint coordination, work and expanding services with Ministry. In addition, they mentioned that works that accomplished on rehabilitation is not enough for PwDs and the services should be accelerated in broad area. Furthermore, the physiothropists and orthopedic specialist wanted from Pro Farooqi to have comprehensive policy to implement National Disability Strategy and provide facilities to PwDs.
Moreover, Pro Farooqi the Acting Minister of MMD respected to their ideas, demands and suggestions and promised very kinds of cooperation with them. Also, he stated that wars in four decades have limited the resources of government, but MMD is committed to bring facilities and solve problems of war-affected people. He added that the National Disability Strategy is finalized and can be implemented after instruction of President. Moreover, he promised to pay special attention to rehabilitation of PwDs and will order the necessary work to relevant departments.
Finally, Pro Farooqi impacted on more coordination and comprehensive cooperation with them. So, he wanted from mentioned specialists to cooperate, accelerate, and provide transparency to rehabilitate PwDs.
